Money-Media, a subsidiary of the Financial Times, is seeking a reporter to help drive the growth of community features across its money management publications.
We’re looking for someone with an interest in business journalism, who has a strong intellectual curiosity, good news judgment, pays careful attention to detail and thrives in a team-based work environment. This individual will have a knack for understanding complicated topics quickly and the ability to report and write on these issues in a clear manner. They must be able to interact with different sources on a regular basis, and work on different tasks under daily deadline pressure.
The reporter will gather expert commentary and research from an influential Wall Street community and allow our publications to deliver that perspective to thousands of readers in the money management industry. As part of the interactive editorial team, this reporter will support a number of Money-Media’s community features including weekly polling, discussion boards, peer group surveys and expert guest columns.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone starting out in journalism who wants to learn about one of Wall Street’s most dynamic sectors. The successful candidate will interview high-level executives, write about the latest industry trends, gain reporting/editing experience and work on multiple forms of media.
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college and some journalism experience on the academic and/or professional level.
Please email your resume and a cover letter explaining why you'd be a good fit for the position to firstname.lastname@example.org, and reference Reporter, Interactive in the subject line.
